Dr Roland Sing
Born in Penticton, BC, Dr. Sing spent his early years in the Okanagan-Similkameen valley. He graduated with an Honours degree in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from UBC.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of Calgary and completed his Urology residency at Queen’s University. His subspecialty training was undertaken at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Sing is married to his wife Deborah who is a practising radiologist. Together they have 3 children who are very active in competitive sports and in the performing arts.
Based in the Greater Toronto Area, he has a busy private practice, with special interests in laser therapy of the prostate, pelvic pain syndromes, and minimally invasive stone surgery. Throughout his career, circumcision and vasectomy have always been a cornerstone of his clinical practice.
After meeting with Dr. Neil Pollock one of North America’s foremost authorities on infant circumcision and the pioneer of the Pollock Technique™, Dr. Sing joined Dr. Pollock’s team to bring this innovative circumcision technique to the GTA.
You will receive detailed instruction on how to prepare your son for the 30 second operation. This includes how to best time feeding and administration of Tylenol before the procedure to maximize your baby’s comfort. Babies are given a sugary pacifier to provide further pain control during the procedure.
Guidance and follow-up continues afterwards, with written and verbal instructions on how to provide care after the circumcision. The goal is to minimize your child’s discomfort and promote healing. You will be shown how to minimize the risk of infection and informed of signs to watch for in case of any complications. Dr. Sing is available by phone after the procedure and will respond quickly to any questions or concerns.
Doctor Sing has chosen to make vasectomy and circumcision the primary focus of his clinic. Doctor Sing is offering his patients techniques that are highly advanced, minimally invasive and have been performed safely on over 100,000 patients in Canada.
With his experience and background, Dr. Sing is convinced that the Pollock Technique™ circumcision with its four-step pain control protocol is the most effective and painless method available; and we are very proud to offer virtually painless No-Scalpel vasectomy in Mississauga as well.
